Randy Churchey
President and Chief Executive Officer

Randy took the helm as President and Chief Executive Officer of EdR in January, 2010. He also serves as a member of the company's Board of Directors.
He is the founder and Co-Chairman of the Board of MCR Development, LLC, a private hotel construction, ownership and management company.
In 2008 Randy was Interim Chief Executive Officer of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., a publicly-traded family entertainment company (NASDAQ: WOLF), and was a member of its Board from 2005 until its sale in 2012. He was President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Golden Horizons, the nation’s second largest senior care company, from 2006 to 2007.
From 2005 to 2007, Randy was a member of EdR's Board of Directors. From 2004 until its sale in 2008, Randy served on the Board of Trustees of Innkeepers USA Trust, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust (NYSE: KPA). He served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., a publicly-traded hotel real estate investment trust (NYSE: RFS), from 1999 until its sale in 2003. From 1997 to 1999, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of FelCor Lodging Trust, Inc., a NYSE-listed hotel real estate investment trust (NYSE: FCH). |

Randall H. "Randy" Brown
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary

Randy joined the predecessor to EdR — Allen & O'Hara — in June 1999 as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Director of Corporate Finance for Promus Hotel Corporation, one of the largest hotel franchisors and operators in the world. As such, he was responsible for securing real estate financing and all other finance related issues for joint ventures. Additionally, he developed construction lending programs for hotel franchisees, assisted in the arrangement of a $1 billion corporate credit facility, and served as relationship manager with lending institutions, investment banks, and joint venture partners.
Prior to his promotion to Director of Corporate Finance, Randy served as Manager of Capital Analysis and Planning for Promus. In this capacity, he prepared financial analyses for various projects under consideration and development; plus, he directed the company's internal controls training for Embassy Suites hotels and developed and coordinated the annual budget process for this hotel brand.
Randy's background also includes considerable capital and financial analysis of operations for International Paper Company. As supervisor of the operations analysis group, he handled the coordination of the annual budgeting process for the company and participated in the due diligence review for corporate acquisitions.
Randy is a Certified Public Accountant – State of Tennessee (inactive), and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his B.A., Accountancy, from the University of Memphis and a B.S., Sociology from the University of Tennessee. |

Thomas "Tom" Trubiana
Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer

Considered one the nation's leading student housing experts, Tom has worked in the student housing industry for more than 30 years. He has been involved in the development and/or management of over 90 student housing properties representing more than 60,000 beds.
Tom began his career in student housing as a resident assistant for Allen & O'Hara. He also served as president and chief executive officer of American Campus Communities (ACC) from July 1997 until October 2003 where he led ACC through their significant period of pre-IPO growth. Prior to serving as president of ACC, Tom held numerous senior management positions for Cardinal/Lexford Realty Services, Inc.
Tom is a member of the National Apartment Association and its Student Housing Committee, the Institute of Real Estate Management, and a number of other higher education and student housing organizations
Tom is a graduate of West Virginia University and received a B.S., Marketing, and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance. |

J. Drew Koester
Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Assistant Secretary

Drew joined EdR (EDR) in September 2004 to help lead the Company through its initial public offering and transition into a publicly traded company. Before joining EDR, Drew served as Vice President of Finance for TruGreen Companies, LLC, a division of The Service Master Company. Prior to his promotion to Vice President in 1999, a position he held until joining EDR, Drew was a Financial Analyst at The Service Master Company.
He began his career at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, and was a Financial Reporting Manager for Continental PET Technologies prior to joining The Service Master Company.

Christine J. "Chris" Richards
Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

As a Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Chris oversees the operations of our owned and joint venture collegiate housing portfolio along with directing the management services division.
Prior to being promoted to senior vice president in early 2010, she served as our vice president of operations from 2006-2010 and as a regional director from 2001-2006. Before joining EdR, Chris held various management positions at Gables Residential Trust, a multi-family REIT, from 1989 - 2001.
Along with her responsibilities' at EdR, Chris is a member of the National Apartment Association's Student Housing Task Force, the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Certified Property Manager (CPM).

Scott P. Casey
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Scott joined EdR in July 2005 and was promoted to his current position in July 2006. He oversees all technology related aspects of the company for corporate and property initiatives. In 2004 and most of 2005, Scott co-founded a real estate investment firm overseeing real estate transactions and residential and commercial construction. From January 2000 until December 2003, he was Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President with Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Orlando Florida.
Scott began his career at Arthur Andersen in January 1990 and was promoted to Director of Technology in 1995. He worked nationally with the firm to develop software initiatives including new IT policies and performed small business technology audits in the mid-south area. He also was responsible for consulting with small to mid-size companies regarding IT resourcing and review of technology contracts. |

Olan Brevard
Senior Vice President of Acquisitions

As Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Olan Brevard is responsible for leading EdR's growth through the acquisition of collegiate housing assets. This role also includes the discriminatory dispositions of assets, from time to time, in support of the company's overall growth strategy.
Olan has 34 years experience at EdR, serving in both the property operations and real estate departments. He formerly was vice president of real estate, a role in which he monitored existing loans and led EdR's refinancing and new loan activities.
Olan received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Management in 1973 from the University of Memphis. He has a Tennessee Real Estate Broker's License and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) by the Institute of Real Estate Management. |

Charles M. Harris
Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development

|
Charles joined EdR in 1999, as manager of development, advancing to senior vice president of real estate development. He is responsible for managing the proposal process and marketing EdR to colleges and universities. As an on-campus development opportunity evolves, Charles oversees financing of the project and then oversight of the construction process working with the architect, construction team and the university representatives to help ensure the community meets the needs of the residents and the goals of the school. Before joining EdR, Charles spent nearly five years with Promus Hotel Corp., handling brand and market research, performing feasibility and impact studies on hotel developments ranging from $5 million to $30 million and managing franchise hotel development in a nine-state region and eastern Canada. He holds a B.A. from Rhodes College and an M.B.A from the University of Memphis. |

Wallace L. "Wally" Wilcox
Senior Vice President of Construction and Engineering

|
Since joining EdR in 1980, Wally has served in various capacities in the project management, maintenance and engineering areas. During his 30 year career, he has supervised the construction of hotels, student housing facilities, student apartments, office buildings, and churches. As Senior Vice President of Construction and Engineering, he serves as the liaison officer between the development team, architects, contractors, and other third-party / investor groups.
Because of his expertise, Wally works with the development team in the feasibility and design of a project and streamlines the cost estimating process between developer, architect and contractor. He serves as the cost control center for the project and emphasizes quality control and construction scheduling conformance to ensure and protect the owner's investment. Additionally, he facilitates the final phase of the project including the installation of the furnishings, fixtures, equipment and finishing products.
In addition to his project management duties, Wally supervises the company-wide Preventative Maintenance Program throughout the portfolio and coordinates all capital improvement projects for the Company.

Liz Keough
Vice President and General Counsel

Liz Keough is vice president and legal counsel for EdR. Formerly a director with Martin, Tate, Morrow & Marston, Ms. Keough was extensively involved with EdR for the past eight years, working with the team of lawyers that helped transform EdR from a private company into a REIT in 2005. She has experience in a number of areas that specifically support EdR's service lines, such as commercial real estate transactions, developing and negotiating contracts, joint venture agreements, litigation and tax incentives and payment-in-lieu-of-taxes programs. Ms. Keough is currently on the board of directors of CREW Memphis, a national organization supporting women in commercial real estate, and is an active member of multiple professional legal associations. She is widely published on a variety of legal topics. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and her B.S. from Vanderbilt University. |

Susan K. Jennings
Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing

As vice president of corporate communications and marketing for EdR, Susan leads the marketing efforts of the corporation including branding, creative concepts, marketing planning and implementation. She also is directly involved with investor relations, website development, all news releases and EdR's participation in any public meetings or events, such as groundbreaking ceremonies and grand openings. Susan formerly worked for Accredo Health, a nationwide specialty pharmacy dedicated to biotech injectables. As the company’s first marketing executive, she was instrumental in developing all branding for the company as well as marketing and communication materials for all drug lines. She assisted with investor communications before and after the company went public. Susan graduated from the University of Georgia's School of Journalism. A member of the Public Relations Society of America, she has held several local and national leadership positions in that organization. Through her career, Susan's work has earned a variety of awards from local and national advertising and public relations organizations. |

Susan B. Arrison
Vice President of Human Resources

Susan joined EdR in January, 1996, as Vice President of Human Resources. She was previously vice president of Employment/Employee Relations at National Bank of Commerce for more than nine years. In this capacity, she coordinated the management recruitment program and the campus recruitment program for the bank. She also served in other capacities relating to personnel management and employee relations, including EEO, Affirmative Action, and Wage and Salary Administration.
Her professional activities include membership in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), SHRM Memphis, and the College Student Educators International (ACPA). Susan has also coordinated corporate sponsorship programs for Habitat for Humanity, the United Way of Memphis, and the Tennessee Mentorship for the Young Child, and has served as a past Board Member on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Day Services.

Randy Simpson
Vice President of Information Technology

Randy manages the company's corporate technology department. He came to EdR from Diversified Trust, where Randy was responsible for managing and overseeing the design and delivery of the company's client reporting systems, website, other information management systems and central operations department. Previously, he served as vice president of information systems for RFS Hotel Investors Inc. During his 10 years at RFS, he led the development and implementation of the company's information and reporting systems. Randy is a graduate of the University of Memphis, earning a B.A. with a double major in finance and management information systems. |

Matthew S. Fulton
Vice President of Operations

While a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Matt began his career as a resident assistant at Granville Towers in 1998. He held a number of positions at Granville Towers and was promoted to assistant general manager before becoming the community manager of another EdR property: University Park Apartments adjacent to the University of Cincinnati. Matt was promoted to regional director in 2008 and was responsible for overseeing the operations of a group of EdR's owned communities. Matt assumed the position of vice president of operations in 2011. In this new role, Matt is directly involved in monitoring EdR's various proprietary reporting systems that measure leasing activity, customer satisfaction and then implementing related action plans. He is still involved with community management and works with EdR's regional directors in budgeting and performance management. Matt is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a B. A. in economics. He is on schedule to receive his Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in December of 2012. |

Scott Barton
Vice President of Real Estate Acquisitions

Scott is responsible for helping to grow EdR's portfolio of collegiate housing assets and managing the leasing efforts for retail spaces at these properties. He came to EdR from CB Richard Ellis Memphis, LLC, where he was senior vice president of retail brokerage services for 10 years. Scott has experiences as vice president and commercial real estate develop/broker with Retail Realty Group, as vice president of institutional fixed-income sales with Mercantile Bank Capital Markets and as a senior consultant with Price Waterhouse Consulting. He earned an M.B.A. (finance concentration) from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in business administration (finance and marketing concentration) from Washington University. |

Mark Grambergs
Vice President of Real Estate Development

Mark had nearly 25 years experience in real estate development, with both public and private corporations, before joining EdR in 2011. As an EdR developer, he is the primary point of contact between the university and all other development team members. Mark is directly responsible for evaluating market demand, working with the EdR operations team to prepare management pro formas while also synchronizing the architect and contractor with the university to design the project to meet the needs of the intended residents and school officials. He also helps arrange financing with investment bankers or financiers to obtain the most appropriate project financing. Upon the bond and/or financing closing, Mark assists with the construction oversight process and provides coordination with the construction team to ensure a smooth transition of the completed property to EdR's operations department or to the owner. Mark received his B.A. from Georgia State University and his law degree from the University of Georgia's School of Law. |

Joshua "Josh" Wilson
Vice President of Real Estate Development

Josh is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities of the entire development process for collegiate housing facilities, including projects for clients and EdR's own portfolio. He began his career at EdR in 2005 as a leasing manager with EdR's community at Purdue University. He then moved to the development department where he was responsible for all financial analysis required for development projects. As a developer, Josh is responsible for overseeing day-to-day details of the entire development process for the company's collegiate housing projects. He evaluates market demand, prepares pro formas and coordinates the efforts of the architect and contractor with the university to help ensure the community meets the needs of the intended residents and school officials. Obtaining the appropriate financing is an important facet of Josh's work. When this phase is complete, he helps oversee the construction process to completion. Josh also has experience as a commercial loan credit analyst with a subsidiary bank of First Merchants Corp., where he analyzed financial statements to create cash-flow and debt-servicing schedules for borrowers and guarantors in order to mitigate bank risk. He holds an M.B.A. and a B.A., both from Purdue University. |
